PT Nilam Widuri
The only fragrance company in Indonesia, named Alhamid & Co, was established in Surabaya. In the same year, it successfully took over two companies simultaneously, Royal Chemical Company and NV Exelsior.
Alhamid & Co expanded and changed its name to PT Sriwangi, gaining the trust to take over the operations of North Western & Co.
As the world embraced rapid industrialization and urbanization, so did PT Sriwangi. At the start of the 1970s, the company rebranded itself once more, becoming PT Nilam Widuri. Seeking greater opportunities and proximity to key markets, the company relocated its operations to Jakarta the heart of Indonesia’s economic landscape. This bold move positioned PT Nilam Widuri at the forefront of the nation’s growing manufacturing sector.
By 1984, PT Nilam Widuri had cemented its status as a pioneer in industrial and scientific advancement. To support its ambitious goals, the company constructed a state-of-the-art factory in Gunung Putri, Bogor. Spanning 13,712 square meters of land and equipped with cutting edge facilities including advanced Quality Control labs, R&D centers, GC-MS technology (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), and precision refractometers the factory set new benchmarks for product excellence. Every detail reflected the company’s unwavering commitment to quality and innovation.
Entering the new millennium, PT Nilam Widuri continued to evolve alongside global trends. By 2010, the company embarked on a strategic expansion, increasing its land area by 5,115 square meters and renovating its facilities to align with international standards. Investments poured into modern laboratory equipment and streamlined production processes, ensuring that the company could meet rising global demands without compromising on quality. This period underscored PT Nilam Widuri’s dedication to operational efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
With consumer preferences shifting toward personalized care products and sustainable solutions, PT Nilam Widuri took another leap forward in 2017. The company invested heavily in expanding its infrastructure, enlarging its Research & Development, production, and warehouse facilities. Notably, a dedicated Beauty & Care Research division was introduced, reflecting the company’s diversification into emerging markets such as cosmetics and personal care. Equipped with advanced tools and machinery, this division became a hub for pioneering product development, delivering tailored solutions that catered to evolving customer needs.
